Abel Tasman Walk

Jayne, Lesley and I escaped to the New Zealand bush on a 3-day walk in the Abel Tasman National Park from Totaranui to Marahau.

The sun's shining, we're good to go.

Our Aqua Taxi transport to Totaranui.

Split Apple Rock
Basking seals

Totaranui starting point

Looking back at Totaranui.

Shoes off again ready to cross one of the few estuaries.

Crossing at low tide means we get to take the short cut.

Awaroa Glamping - my cabin
View from the cabin.
No curtain, so got to sleep
under the stars.

Sugar Plum the fantail lead us out of Awaroa.

The beach at Awaroa that all us Kiwis own.

A few swing bridges along the way.

Downhill
Occasionally flat

Uphill

One of the stunning views

Our bed on the second night was on this Floating Aquapackers

People make signs with stones at low tide.
Carvings at the ends of a bridge.

Nearly got caught out crossing a small river mouth between tides.

Pattern of shifting sands at Anchorage.

Non-stop rain on our last day.
