Quick Visit to the UK

A cycling tootle around CAMBRIDGE

The Corpus Clock invented and funded by an ex-student of the university. It is plated in gold and was made by traditional Clock making methods. It has no hands or numbers and the time is read from the inner ring out. The grasshopper running on the top relates to the type of mechanism used.

Gates open at Jeffrey Archer's house. Was that an invitation to come on in?

LONDON by Metro bikes

Out and about in the traffic near St Pancras Station.

The Shard

Manicured gardens in front of Buckingham Palace

Had hoped for a cup of tea and tiny sandwiches, but no one answered the door.

Big Ben is having a rest for 4 years while under renovation.

This was once a wharf where the tea clippers berthed.

Trafalgar Square

Delicious Ethiopian lunch at Borough Market

Plenty of specialties for sale at Borough Market

A coffee shop that provides handbag hangers.

St Paul's Cathedral

Tower Bridge

Cupcakes for sale at Harrods

Cycling CAMBRIDGE to ST IVES

It's generally believed the Man with Seven Wives was from St Ives in Cornwall, but there are some who say it's from this St Ives in Cambridgeshire.

The cycle path between the two towns is alongside the busway which is built on a disused railway line.

Bridge over the River Ouse

All Saints Church

Oliver Cromwell lived here for 6 years.

13th Century Priory of Swavesey along the pathway.

Plenty of dried thistle heads.

Even a windmill

Sunset over Cambridgeshire
